Saturday, July 2, 2011 was a special day for Jim Smith and his son, Mike Smith (Battalion Chief at the Osolo Fire Department in Elkhart, Indiana.) Jim was the driver chosen to handle the delivery that day of a very special load - a World Trade Center artifact - all the way from J.F.K. to Elkhart’s own Osolo Township Volunteer Fire Department.
In follow up to the story we posted earlier this summer: the I-Beam/World Trade Center Artifact delivered via Pro Fleet to the Osolo Township Fire Department in July has now been built into a structure. The structure will be unveiled at the Fire Department's Buddy Street station in Elkhart on Sunday, September 11, 2011, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the attacks of 9-11. Please stop by the station on Sunday to attend a dedication program and see the structure; which will then remain on permanent display. Pro Fleet was honored to take part in this program and support our local firefighters and other service personnel.
